In 2020 the Barefoot Black Tie festival will be 1- 3 May 2020 and staged over four days at locations such as Ocean Park, Little Lagoon and the Shark Bay Town Oval. 

Featuring enriching experiences, live entertainment & high arts in situ the 2020 program see Creality Cabaret, a restaurant at the edge of history,  Creatura Festival Spectacle – 10 meter fire breathing Dragon and the best of Dance, Circus, Comedy and Music.

Burringurrah Festival of Fire - Burringurah and Mt Augustus Tourist Park

A week long Artists in Residency program in School and Community result in community content for Festival, including new original Hip Hop music form our Blood Beats program, Junk Percussion, Fire Sculptures, and the hunting of and preparation of Bush Trucker.

Friday night Concert at Mt Augustus Tourist Park builds on the Destination Dining trend, the Gascoyne Food Bowl onto your actual plate.

 

Saturday afternoon & night the Burringurrah community hosts a fire sculpture field, Roo Stew, world music, circus, dance, comedy and a ballet of stars & satellites overhead! 

 

 Location: Burringurrah Remote Aboriginal Community – 40kms south of Mt Augustus Tourist Park.

Cost: FREE

 

This festival is only for self-reliant travellers. Accommodation and fuel can be found 40kms away at the Mount Augustus Tourist Park http://www.mtaugustustouristpark.com and road and weather conditions must be checked before your start your drive!

Featuring international festival favourites and set in the ‘Guts of the Gascoyne’ the 2020 Gascoyne River Music Festival boasts a jam packed program guaranteed to enliven one’s spirit and get everyone dancing - Upper Gascoyne Style! Set south of the Kennedy Range National Park  the Community of Gascoyne Junction is proud to present a vibrant Festival of Arts, Culture and of course Music!

Substantial free workshops program including circus, weaving, yoga, plasma cutting, cultural tours and a critical mass of local, national and international acts. 

Now developing a ticketed events:

Sunday ‘Mother Day Long table Lunch’ produced by the Junction Craft Group. 

Late Night Renegade Stage at the Junction Pub – adults only (Friday & Saturday)

Pack your camping gear and check your maps, Gascoyne Junction now has a brand new Pub and Tourist Park offering the connivance of fuel, food and camping facilities right next to the Gascoyne River Festival site!

Explore the ‘Gascoyne River Sculpture Trail’  accompanied by live music, explore the river walk as punctuated with art installations of all sorts and the odd surprise performance…

Eventide Arts Festival - Carnarvon is the newest festival in the GiM festival series and is proud to drive an arts and cultural agenda for the Gascoyne’s regional centre on Ingarrdda Country.

Thursday - In situ on Gascoyne River with a smoking ceremony, 'Contours' contemporary Indigenous dance and live acoustic music. 

Friday - Creality Cabaret present narrative treads which capture chapters in Carnarvon past, and facilities the sharing of local stories using digital projection, circus arts, comedy and music.

Saturday sees the Carnarvon Fascine host ‘Heartland Concert’ from afternoon to early evening.

Sunday - Spindrift Sundowner at the One Mile Jetty, Sunsets Cafe, boasts helicopter tours, food, and another perfect twilight concert.

In 2020 the NINGALOO WHALESHARK FESTIVAL will take a hiatus! BUT Gascoyne in May Inc in partnership with the Exmouth Cultural Arts Centre is delighted to pilotExmouth Fringe Festival: A Cornucopia of Arts, Music and Entertainment.

Gascoyne in May Inc will deliver a series of 'BLACK OPS ARTS' events including the'Banquet of Wild Proportions'at Warroora Station and CREALITY CABARET at Whalebone Brewery. 19 - 24 May 2020

The Ningaloo Whaleshark Festival will be back in 2021

Background: The Ningaloo Whaleshark Festival is a community event. Ningaloo Reef is a name recognised nationally and internationally as a ‘premier marine environment’, home to the most predictable, seasonal aggregations of whale sharks in the world. The Ningaloo Whaleshark Festival highlights the community’s relationship with the annual visit of the whale shark. The objective is to bring together government departments, business, industry and community members to strengthen their relationships, while enhancing the education and celebration of the whale shark. The aim of the festival is to share and learn from each other’s experiences, present new advances in technology, ideas and research, and most importantly, to communicate these urgent issues through networking with one another.For further information on the Exmouth Whaleshark Festival:
